Buxworth
A westbound East Midlands Trains Class 158 passes Buxworth on 29 December 2009 with a service to Manchester. The westbound platform and station building still exist, although the platform is overgrown and fenced off. This was formerly a 4 track section between New Mills South Junction and Chinley North Junction, the other two tracks being on the left of the existing lines. I can confirm that it was much colder than it looks with a very strong easterly wind blowing at ten past three on a late December afternoon!
