Buxworth

The Harwich Parkeston Quay - Manchester Piccadilly boat
train, hauled by 47047, is nearing the end of its journey as it passes through Buxworth cutting, about a mile and a half to the west of Chinley station, in June 1977. The train is formed of early Mk II stock and no doubt a Mk I buffet (in the early seventies it had been one of the last services to employ a Gresley buffet car).
