Haig Colliery

A magnificent setting but it looks like a hazardous environment for locomotives (and their crews). In addition to the damage seen on its sister loco See image 26735 it looks like Revenge has taken a hit on the left hand side of the cab. However, high on the cliffs overlooking the Irish sea, another rake of hopper wagons is propelled by the loco as work goes on. The mine workings went out under the sea here to access the coal seams.
