Wakefield MPD
WD Austerity 2-8-0 no 90116 stands amongst a number of condemned colleagues in the holding area to the south of Wakefield shed in the mid sixties. The locomotive was in transit from its final home shed at West Hartlepool (51C), to Drapers scrapyard, Hull, where it was eventually cut up in October of 1967. Both Wakefield MPD (56C) and the power station in the left background have since been demolished.
