Approximately half a mile north of Galashiels station the Waverley Route ran under the A7 through Ladhope Tunnel. The view looks south through the tunnel, now part of a walkway/cycleway, on 11 April 2010. Note the original skew-arch roof construction at this end and the more recent modifications at the south exit to cater for local road improvements. See image 28676
