Preston Ladywell Sidings

Former Haymarket Class 40, 40063, stands in Ladywell sidings at Preston towards the end of its working life. It was one of the early locos given new front ends with four character headcode boxes by 64B for ECML work replacing the original nose doors and discs. These were distinguishable from later production locos by the square edged headcode boxes. Withdrawn the following April it was cut up at Vic Berrys in Leicester in 1987.
