Wanton Walls Junction

View east on 27 June 2010 along the route of the direct goods lines that ran between Niddrie West (behind camera) and the ECML. The location is around 250m short of the former Wanton Walls Junction where the Lothian Lines route from Leith and Portobello came in from the left. The old footbridge seen here just to the north of Newcraighall village has long been out of use with the right of way having reverted to the original footpath seen crossing the trackbed in the foreground.
