Lancaster (Quayside)
Pre-demolition picture of the bridge that carried the Glasson Branch over Lune Road, Lancaster. This view looks north towards the river where the remaining sidings had finally closed in 1969 rendering the bridge redundant although it lasted another 14 years before being dismantled. The trees on the far side of the river mark the route of the closed Green Ayre to Morecambe line. Picture by Frank Williamson. See image 30072 for the same view in 2010.
