Newline Tunnel
After my previous visit to the old Newline tunnel on the former Bacup to Rochdale line the workshop it contained closed and it was awaiting new tenants here. See image 23305. There is no significant cover over this short tunnel so perhaps the land was unstable leading to it being constructed rather than using a cutting.
