Edinburgh Waverley
Up on the roof. Work in progress on the roof of Waverley station. The old glass roof is in the process of being replaced by more than 24,000 (twenty four thousand) clear glass panels, installed as part of a 3 year project for completion in 2013. According to the Network Rail website the objective is '...to flood the station with natural light and totally improve the environment for passengers'. See image 57576
