Dalmuir Riverside

View west from the short loop at the east end of the former Dalmuir Riverside station in 1991. The sidings to the right are the former coal yard and to the left were sidings latterly used by Arnott Young for scrapping railway wagons. These sidings formerly served Beardmore's Dalmuir Naval Shipyard, the Clyde Trust Cable Depot and a number of other works. The former station was in the distance and had not only through platforms but also bays for workers trains. By the 1990s the line remained open for use by Speedlink trips to the Chivas Bros siding slightly further west (the last trip may have run in early 1988)
