Carmarthen

Early morning scene at Carmarthen station on 24 March showing Sprinter Bubble Car 153362 that had stabled overnight in the bay platform. In the foreground is the old line to Aberystwyth and Cardigan which now terminates under the bridge from which the picture was taken. Carmarthen opened in 1902, replacing an earlier station just to the north of here see image 38198 and enjoys a regular service of trains including a daily HST service to Paddington.
