Peebles Junction
Scene in Peebles in 1975 looking south from the A702 Innerleithen Road along the former link line from Peebles NB (Peebles Junction) to an end on junction (Peebles CR and NBR Junction) at Caledonian station on the other side of the Tweed. The 3-bar fence in the centre stands on the north side of Walker's Haugh and, less than 20 yards beyond, is the western abutment of another bridge, since filled in see image 29950, on Tweed Avenue. A triangular junction was once mooted for this particular location.
