The footbridge that once spanned the Peebles Railway half a mile south east of Peebles station on the route to Galashiels. At this point the line ran in a cutting through the extensive grounds of the Peebles Hydro Hotel. Following closure in 1962 the cutting was filled in and landscaped, while the footbridge was left in place. The protruding structure (with suitably modified step access) is seen here looking north in May 2010, with the Hotel visible in the background.
