Eskbridge
Approaching Penicuik from Auchendinny the line passed below this notable skew-arch bridge carrying a minor road. What looks like a level crossing gate in the distance is there to prevent unauthorised vehicles accessing the trackbed. Beyond the gate stood the small station of Eskbridge (closed in 1930) of which no trace remains see image 22646.
