Goerlitz in Sachsen has one of the best preserved town centres in central Europe, but here and there beautifully restored grandeur still sits cheek-by-jowl with decaying urban fabric. With a population of just 50,000, the town has no less than two tram routes (take note, Edinburgh), both of which pass the Hauptbahnhof forecourt, seen here on 4th July 2013.
