My first reaction on stepping out at Shawfair was 'where the...'. Not even the farmstead of Shawfair itself is visible. Never mind; I'm sure the 4000 houses will come: for now blessed peace. Afternoon trains for Tweedbank (this platform) and Waverley pass on day 3 of the new service.
