Haigh

The low and narrow rail overbridge across Haigh Lane, near the former Haigh Station, between Horbury Junction and Barnsley is being prepared for replacement in a 52 hour possession over the Bank Holiday weekend. The land to right has been cleared, and scaffold erected along the far side of the bridge to carry rerouted S&T cabling during the works. A large area on the left has been taken over by Balfour Beatty as a works site, and a pad for construction of the new deck structure. The deck should be moved into final position atop a multi wheel remote control heavy lift unit.
