Interlaken West
Interlaken West station, seen from the viewing platform at Harder Kulm, accessed by funicular from Interlaken Ost. A DB ICE international service is just entering the station. Beyond are the carriage sidings and freight depot while alongside the station is the paddle steamer Blumlisalp at the end of the short canal from Lake Thun. The bright blue water is the River Aare flowing from mineral rich Lake Brienz into Lake Thun, just off picture to the right.
