Samnan
View of the existing sinuous single track route looking north east at Samnan level crossing north of Gamla Uppsala. The new double track alignment can be seen as the pale grey construction curving in from the right. The reason for the odd arrangement is that a new underbridge has been opened which was designed to fit on the new alignment and this is less than ideal for the current alignment which has remained open for low-speed train movements throughout the construction period.
