Grangemouth No 4 Signal Box (West Cut)

Perusal of the OS 25 inch map for 1947 would suggest that this is the swing bridge which catered for both road and rail traffic across the West Cut between the Western Channel and Carron Dock at Grangemouth. The weather had been sunny when we arrived at Grangemouth but it seems to have clouded over and this was the last of only four shots I took that day, suggesting the weather had really deteriorated by the time we got to Bandeath.
