Preesall
This is the site of Preesall station and its small goods yard, now occupied by an egg packing plant. The tracks followed the line of trees behind the building and this view, taken from the B5377 road as it climbs towards the old over bridge, looks towards Pilling. From the opposite side of the bridge the old railway can be walked most of the way to Knott End See image 55509. The original station was a small timber frame building with a corrugated tin roof, which opened in 1908 and closed in 1930.
