Preesall
An interesting image of brand new (almost finished) Preesall station, on the 1908 extension of the line from Pilling to Knott End. 0-6-0T Knott End is pulling in with two of the Lancaster C&W veranda coaches and a guards van. Note the makeshift station sign in the foreground, presumably later replaced with a proper fitting. The station was only open for 22 years but after closure in 1930 goods trains continued to pass through until 1950.
