The train had just left so the station in the village of Hässelby/Dalhem (old spelling Hesselby) seemed very quiet but all the doors were nevertheless wide open. This allowed easy viewing of the restored rooms inside. At the far end was an impressive shop with many informative books and leaflets for sale as well as wall-mounted information boards all in Swedish.
The building is painted in the original Slite-Roma Jernväg (SlRJ) colours with restoration taking place between 1972 and 1974. The line, then run by SJ, closed in 1953.
