Nateby

A Black 5 pauses at Nateby on route to Pilling on the truncated Knott End branch, probably in the early 1960s. By tradition any train on the line, right to the end, was known as The Pilling Pig. Nateby station was remote from the tiny village and saw little traffic before closure in 1930. The station site has since been built on but some railway features remain. See image 22572
