Tongland Viaduct
The Kirkcudbright branch crossed the River Dee on Tongland Viaduct on its way to join the Port Road at Castle Douglas. The remains of the viaduct on the south bank are seen here looking west in August 2009. In the right background is part of the road bridge that carries the A711 across the river.
