Ã…re
The original 1880 station building has been converted into a cafe; it is a bit surprising to see it called Bahnhof Cafe as the use of German words is not a common sight in Sweden. They are trying to simulate an Alpine resort and, indeed, Ã…re does look rather alpine from a distance with lots of ski-lifts and chalet-type housing see image 70048 and a funicular railway up to the first hotel built on the side of Ã…reskutan.
The mainline platforms are off to the left of picture and the old station is more 'on street' nowadays; it does also house a 'left luggage' office whose door is visible to the right of the car.
