The rather unappealing rebuilt entrance to Stoke Newington station, dating from the early 1970s, about 100 years after the station opened in 1872, on the afternoon of Monday, 12th August 2019. The Victorian platform canopies, which like the old entrance I remember as a boy, disappeared about the same time, thanks - or rather no thanks - to the old BR regime's idea of 'improvements'. The station is on the line from London Liverpool Street to Enfield Town and Cheshunt which became part of London Overground in May 2015.
