Hampton Loade

Hampton Loade station, on the Severn Valley Railway, looking south on 6th September 2014. On the left 67010, which arrived at Bridgnorth earlier with UK Railtours' 'The Silver King' excursion from London Marylebone, is now at the rear of an extra SVR service to Kidderminster Town, led by DVT 82301 as BR Standard Class 5 73129 arrives with a service for Bridgnorth. 73129 emerged from Derby works in August 1956 and was first allocated to Shrewsbury shed before being transferred to Patricroft shed in 1958. There it was put into store in June 1967 and officially withdrawn on 2nd December that year. Rescued from Woodham's scrapyard at Barry by the Midland Railway Trust, Butterley in 1972, a full restoration did not begin until 1993 and it was not until 22nd February 2004 that the locomotive was steamed again.
