Garstang and Catterall

Immediately to the north of the old G&KER junction is another bridge over the WCML and alongside this is a pipe bridge. The pipe carries the Parkhead Brook over the line. Immediately behind, the stream is carried over the M6 on an open aqueduct that also has a track over it, leading to the unusual situation where the bridge has three sets of railings that can be seen from the motorway. Photographed on 25th April 2020, ancillary to a daily permitted exercise walk.
