New Galloway
View east along the trackbed of the Port Road in 2010. Beyond the bridge stood the former station of New Galloway, which is located in the hamlet of Mossdale, some 20 miles west of Dumfries and 5 miles south of the town whose name it carried. The station was acquired as a private residence following closure and the building and grounds have been much modified since that time. The platforms ran straight ahead beyond the hedge that now forces a diversion of the walkway to the left. For a view over the station from the road bridge up ahead see 29120.
