Beamish Open Air Museum

More than 140 years old, Lewin No.18 of 1877 is hauling a goods train at Beamish on 19th June 2018. This was designed by Stephen Lewin of Poole, Dorset and worked maintenance trains to the dockyard and harbour at Seaham (and a long way from Poole) and though the harbour still exists, the line and its locomotives, apart from No.18, are long gone. No.18 has a permanent home at Beamish.
