Kirkby
Having arrived a short time earlier, 142031 now waits at Kirkby on 11 March 2013 to form the 1332 hrs service back to Manchester Victoria. The line was originally a through line from Liverpool Exchange to Manchester via Wigan Wallgate but today the line is split with Merseyrail operating the services into Liverpool from the platform on the other side of the road bridge. 142031 was scrapped in Newport after withdrawal from service.
