Sighthill West Junction
Ashvale Crescent, Springburn, early one Sunday morning in May 2007, looking north west towards the apex of the Cowlairs triangle. The Sighthill West - Cowlairs West line is in the foreground, while the E&G runs across the centre. Clearance of the old carriage sheds and sidings had been completed by the end of January, with work now underway on the NR Cowlairs Maintenance Delivery Unit and the West of Scotland Signalling Centre. The MDU will occupy much of the area in the photograph, while the signalling centre will stand in the south east corner of the site. Part of the base for the latter can be seen bottom left beyond the fence.
