Kirklee Junction
Kirklee Junction was located just north of Kirklee station. This view looks north, with the station behind me, in 1988. The bridge carried Kirklee Road over the junction. To the left was the line round to Bellshaugh Junction and on to Dawsholm or further afield to Dumbarton Central or Glasgow Central. To the right was the route to Maryhill Central Junction and on to Possil or beyond to Balornock and a choice of routes. The photograph was taken with an old Praktica with a 50mm lens whose focus ring had jumped the thread on one side, in case you were wondering about the focus!
