View of the former up (Cork) side of the island platform and station buildings at Bandon. The trackbed has been removed, presumably to facilitate the adjacent road construction. The original low-level station was opened in 1849 and was a terminus until the line was completed westwards by 1866. The new high-level station was opened in 1894 and served until closure in 1961 with the low-level station remaining as the goods station. The high-level station pictured now serves as Cork County Council offices.
