Littlewood Siding
The 1501 hrs Ormskirk to Preston service passes the remains of Littlewood Siding SB on 11 February 2021. On previous visits to this site I had failed to notice the wall of the building up against the modern fence, perhaps due to vegetation. The SB had initially controlled rail access to a brick and tile works, however during WW2 this also became the rail access to an extensive ammunition dump. The rail access to the dump forked to the right of the train.
