Slaggyford
At a time when Network Rail is closing signal boxes as fast as it can, its nice to find a new one in 2021. Battery electric loco Carlisle (built in 2015 by Alan Keef, and rebuilt the following year at Statfold Barn) patiently waits for passengers to board at Slaggyford for the next departure to Alston. Google Street View currently shows historic views of this station minus signalbox and track. Picture taken with permission (see also image 47570).
