Garstang and Catterall

151 years of history has come to an end. The Kenlis Arms opened in 1871 to serve passengers at the adjacent Garstang and Catterall Station, one and a half miles from Garstang itself, which had just become the junction for the Garstang and Knot End Railway. The hotel is closing and is pictured here on its last day, 1st May 2022. The station, to the left of this picture, closed in 1969.
