Ormskirk
507022 is seen near Ormskirk in the early 1980s. It was the first unit to be withdrawn after a collision with 507004 at Kirkdale. One of the motor coaches 64426 was converted to 25KV, renumbered 64588, and then included in the formation of Scottish EMU 314203. 64388, the other motor coach, was included in unit 507004 as a replacement for 64370 which along with the trailer 71363 (from 507022) was moved to St Rollox Works in Glasgow, via storage in the carriage shed at Llandudno Junction. MC Metals scrapped 71363 on 19/11/96 and 64370 on 21/11/96.
