Chaumont
SNCF 2-8-2 141P132 photographed at the depot in Chaumont, eastern France. I seem to have no records at all regarding this shot, indeed I cannot even recall going to the depot! However, we did drive through the area in July 1967 and, comparing my few photographs with published shots, I am sure the venue was Chaumont. Something that maybe should not have been left to smoulder is producing a lot of smoke around the cab. Perhaps it was something to do with the mechanical stoker these locomotives were fitted with.
