Earlestown

Ancient and modern. 802209 hurries through Earlestown with a TPE Newcastle to Liverpool service on 22nd February 2023. It is passing the original 1830 station building, which has a Heritage Transport Trust red wheel plaque marking that it was built at the site of the first main line junction and is one of the oldest railway passenger buildings in the world.
