Standing on platform 2 at Springfield, Fife, on a fine May morning in in 2005 looking north towards Cupar. The 1847 Edinburgh & Northern Railway station is located in a sparsely populated catchment area and, at the time of the photograph, was served by 3 down and 2 up trains on weekdays.
