Shanklin

Two ex-London Underground tube units are at Shanklin station on 24 July 1968, with unit numbered 033 approaching from the south. Railways on the Isle of Wight specialised in ancient vehicles, and electrification made no difference to this policy, as both units were 'Standard Stock', ie they were built before 1938! They had started work on island services the previous year and lasted until 1990.
