An August 2012 view of Morecambe. 'A' at left marks the point where the surviving lines to Lancaster and Heysham diverge, the latter curving sharply round to run past Morecambe Football Club and along the edge of the urban area to the port and power stations at the top of the picture. 'B' is the site of Morecambe Euston Rd (LNW) station, where the goods shed survives in a builders merchants but everything else has gone. 'C' is the current basic Morecambe station and 'D' is the old Morecambe Promenade with the Midland Hotel across the road.
