Brechin North Junction

View north west to Brechin North Junction. The Brechin 'bypass' from east of the town can be seen running from bottom centre to meet the line curving round from Brechin station, to the left. The Forfar and Edzell routes separated at the junction, running parallel into the distance before the Edzell line turned hard to the right to run north. The 'bypass' closed n 1917, and the north junction was taken out in 1934 after which the Forfar and Edzell routes ran out as parallel single tracks from the station.
