Diggle

TPE802204, on a Newcastle Liverpool service, passes through the site of Diggle station on 19th June 2024. Alongside is the western entrance to the Standedge Canal Tunnel. This was extended in 1893 when the double track rail tunnel was being built as the new four track Diggle station was partly built over the canal.
