Maida Vale

LU 1972 stock arriving at Maida Vale with a northbound Bakerloo Line short working from Elephant & Castle to Queen's Park, at 15.05 on Saturday, 20th April 2024. Note the traditional station name roundel. Bakerloo Line trains once ran all the way to Watford Junction over main line tracks but in 1965, these became peak hours only, the all-day service terminating at Queen's Park, and ceased altogether in 1982. However, in 1984, an all-day service of Bakerloo trains was restored between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone although some trains, as seen here, still terminate at either Queen's Park or Stonebridge Park.
