Kensington (Olympia)

Kensington (Olympia) looking north, with LU S7 stock on the limited two-stop shuttle to High Street Kensington, on 6th July 2024. This opened with the West London Line in 1844 as Kensington becoming Addison Road (though in Russell Road) in 1869, six years after the West London Extension Railway opened from here to Clapham Junction. Regular services ceased in 1940 but partially reopened in 1946 as Kensington (Olympia) with an unadvertised BR service to Clapham Junction for post office workers until 1994 when the West London Line reopened throughout from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction, now part of London Overground.
