Sandhills
At the start of July 2024 there were still nine Class 507s in service with Merseyrail, working diagrams on the Southport line. All 777s are reported delivered now so it is unlikely they will have long to go before withdrawal. 507001 is to be preserved, and two coaches of 507028 are in use at the Merseyside Fire Service training facility, but all other sets are scheduled to follow the others to Sims scrapyard in Newport. On 8th May 507017 called at Sandhills on a Hunts Cross to Southport service.
